No Tower Hides You from Thorns
觀音靈籤第59签
The history behind Guan Yin lots →You climb the storied tower to hide yourself away,
yet thorns encircle it on every side, dense as a forest.
Heaven is high, and your fate holds both long and short —
in grasping after one, you may well lose two.
直上重楼去藏身
四围荆棘绕为林
天高君命长和短
得一反成失二人
Like someone too drunk to stand steady, stay where you are instead of moving. Wait patiently for a better time, and things will resolve once the trouble passes.
This lot pictures someone trying to escape trouble by retreating to higher ground, only to find brambles all around. It advises against risky moves and hasty grasping while things are unclear: hold your position, choose any helpers carefully, and wait for conditions to turn.

Pray for the family's well-being; life otherwise stays stable and secure. Wealth is about average and a business deal succeeds, but this couple is not well matched for marriage, and pregnancy calls for good deeds and prayer. A traveler has already arrived, only half the harvest comes in, and livestock do well. A missing person is hard to locate, lost items are unlikely to be recovered, and a lawsuit has little chance of success. Moving house goes smoothly, health needs prayer, and ancestral graves will be blessed.
When we cannot yet see clearly, doing less is often the wisest doing. Trouble followed to a new hiding place is still trouble. What changes it is patience, and the honesty to stop grabbing at quick fixes that cost more than they give. If you are in a thorny stretch right now, resolve to make no major moves until the fog lifts. Simply care for what is in front of you.
