People chase name and rank, yet these turn out to be hollow. There's little reason to fix your attention on titles and status. Better to step back and mind your own affairs.

Life is stable overall, though money and business come with real obstacles. Marriage prospects don't work out well this time, while pregnancy brings a daughter. News arrives from the traveler, the harvest comes in only half-ripe, and livestock is worth investing in. A missing person turns up to the west, though lost items are hard to trace. A lawsuit is unlikely to succeed, and this isn't the time to move house. Health calls for prayer and care, and ancestral graves are well tended.
Praise, titles, and promising whispers rise and fade like echoes. The Dhamma keeps pointing us back to what does not depend on applause: our conduct, our kindness, our peace of mind. If an exciting piece of news dissolved tomorrow, what in your life would still be solid? Could you invest a little more there?
