The Swallow's Unfinished Nest
觀音靈籤第3签
The history behind Guan Yin lots →Braving wind and rain, it journeys home again,
Just like the swallow darting on the wing;
Clay in beak, it labours at its nest —
The nest gives way, and clay must be gathered anew.
临风冒雨去还乡
正是其身似燕儿
衔得泥来欲作垒
到头垒坏复须泥
You try every means, working day and night, but in the end all that effort turns out to be fruitless.
This lot describes toil that keeps coming undone: much scheming and busyness from dawn to dusk, yet little lasting gain. It is a caution to pause and question where all the effort is really going.

Household matters look gloomy now but turn for the better with caution. Wealth arrives and business deals succeed, though the couple in question are not well matched for marriage. The harvest is good, livestock thrives, and a missing person or lost item can be found. For health, fulfill any vow you have already made to the Bodhisattva.
When we rebuild the same nest again and again, the Dharma asks us to examine the mind that keeps grasping. Exhaustion is sometimes a signal to work differently. Release what repeatedly collapses, and tend to what actually nourishes. Is there one effort in your life you could set down, even briefly, to see whether it truly needs carrying?
